My client is recruiting for an exceptional Business Development Manager to join their team.  Reporting directly to the General Manager, your key responsibility will be to achieve the new business revenue targets for the company.


Candidates will need a strong sales background within the logistics/haulage industry.



Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Identifying and developing your own sales pipeline, through calls and face to face meetings
  • Generating freight revenue
  • Defining the needs of prospective clients to build a professional proposal and build relationships
  • Working to achieve maximum profitability on accounts
  • Analysing new business sales
  • Managing handover of new business to the customer care department
  • Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of operational processes and developments


Key skills and experience required:

  • High level of personal integrity
  • Strong time management skills, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ability to handle objections and close the sale
  • Strong commercial awareness – tenacious and motivated to succeed
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills
  • Professional sales ability



Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Holidays: tbc
