We are looking for an experienced UK Supply Planner to join one of our well-established clients based in Stafford on a Permanent basis. The ideal candidate will need to pragmatic, flexible and have a positive attitude towards their work.

Goals

  • Manage the flow of materials to various sites within the UK and ensure optimisation of inventory levels via collaboration with other stakeholders in the forecasting process, excess inventory management techniques and expediting.

Duties

  • Distribution Requirement planning & managing movement of finished goods across the distribution network
  • Distribution planning and deployment, execution is supported by business rules related to DC sourcing and inventory distribution.
  • Efficient distribution and deployment is required to support the customer order fulfilment.
  • Manage Supply Chain Metrics which directly impact end customer service levels by delivering on time in full, while still aggressively managing inventory turns and logistics costs
  • Distribution Planner owning the Distribution Requirement planning operations which drive replenishment activity in Distribution network
  • Generate netted demand requirements across distribution nodes (SOS, DC, RDC)
  • Performance and sales analysis on different groups and levels: analysis of industry trends
  • Tracking the primary KPI of Plan Adherence along with key KPIs in Inventory Management.
  • Management reporting to local and regional hubs
  • Inventory management - Actively participate and control excess stock and regional inventory re-balancing
  • Communicate and collaborate with Demand Planners and local sales team to define and validate a meaningful forecast at product level.
  • Manage the UK inventory portfolio ensuring forecasts and stocking policies are aligned with global segmentation.
  • Regularly plot inventory coverage expectations based on forecasted issues and receipts to identify gaps in supply.
  • Expedite materials regularly with manufacturing division and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and equally communicate and take actions to avoid overstock.
  • Ensure correct replenishment parameters are updated in a timely manner to meet deadlines set.
  • Ensure master and transactional data is cleansed
  • Regular systematic analysis of Excess and dead stock.
  • Actively seek approval to re-balance inventory in the region and collaborate with transportation division to arrange transfer.

Essential

  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft office package (Primarily MS Excel).
  • Knowledge of SAP MM Module an asset
  • Practical knowledge of inventory management practices
  • English Language fluency a must.

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-17:00pm (37.5 hours a week)

Salary:

  • £30,000-£37,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

  • Permanent
