We’re looking for a highly motivated MIG/TIG Welder with excellent precision skills to join the welding team at a well-established Fabrication company in Crewe, Cheshire.

The Company

Formed over 40 years ago, the company operates from it’s purpose-built facility in Crewe and is proud of its continual expansion over recent years,

The company holds all relevant accreditations including CHAS and CfA, including being certified to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 2 standards for structural steelwork and works in partnership with key clients across the North West, providing Fabrication and Welding services to high standards.

Offering a wide range of services including MIG and TIG, ARC welding and on-site welding to suit customer needs, they’re also specialists with Aluminium and Stainless.

The Role

This job has come about because of continued company growth through 2022.

Applications from qualified TIG Welders are welcome, but the company is also taking applicants with over 3 years MIG Welding experience, and they’re happy to provide training to increase the candidate’s skill set to include TIG Welding.

Key attributes are:

• The ability to work calmly and with precision in a factory or on-site environment
• The ability to understand and work to CAD drawings or alternative Engineers drawings
• The ability to liaise with senior team members
• The ability to liaise with customers when working on site

Amongst other duties, you will be responsible for evaluating finished products and quality control, fitting products on site locations, using a wide variety of machinery including power and handheld tools.

Working on site locations, valid CSCS authorisation would be an advantage (the company can put you through a CSCS course if you don’t) and a Full UK driving licence would be useful.

The Offer

This is a permanent position (subject to completion of a three-month trial) and offers a salary of up to £29,406 per annum, depending on qualifications.

Your working hours will be 8am to 4:50pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm on a Friday. Overtime is available as and when required, paid at time and a half.
