Job Description

 

Meadowbank Associates are currently recruiting for a Stores Person to join their Client’s Crewe -based Industrial business.

 

 

The Role: To perform and complete daily operational tasks in compliance with all relevant regulations and the targets of the Company, dealing with administration and document processing for the dispatch of consignments and delivery of castings. This position acts as liaison between purchasing, planning, and quality personnel to ensure material requirements are met.   • To provide support to Stores/Despatch/Logistics department to ensure correct documents and items are ready for dispatch
  • Supporting other departments within the company i.e. assist with part marking as necessary.
  • To maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Stores area.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Enter the data into appropriate databases
  • Perform inventory controls / stock checks and keep quality standards high for audits
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Prepare administrative processing of any goods which require customs clearance. Create the respective requests. Check supporting documentation
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Responsibility for inbound receipt, storage and kitting of inventory, ensuring all stored items are stored correctly and safely, complete stock checks, provide feedback to the procurement and purchasing team and maintain and monitor inventory levels
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Movement of stock by hand or with machines
  • Packing and wrapping goods, loading goods for sending

 

 

The successful candidate will have

  • Experience in a warehouse role or logistics environment, preferably in a manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP systems is advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of import and export requirements for EU and non EU countries is advantageous

 

Ideally you will have:

 

  • A current and valid Counterbalance FLT Licence
  • A self-motivated approach and a proactive attitude
  • Show a willingness to want to make a difference and get ‘stuck in’
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT Skills, being proficient in Microsoft Office
  • GCSE (or equivalent) grade A-C in Maths and English

 

The work hours are Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 9.30am – 12.30pm
