My client is seeking an organised, diligent, and responsible Stock/Goods-In Controller to join their growing team. This role will be mostly, managing and receipting stock into the business through the use of a computerised database system and ensuring the accuracy of stock through the implementation of stock checks and control procedures. Your primary objective will be to help run the Goods-in process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Be a contact for all deliveries arriving on site
· Unpack goods and cross check against delivery paperwork
· Use SAP to receipt goods into stock
· Distribute receipted goods to the relevant departments
· Liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies and follow the process through to resolve any issues
· Perform stock checks on goods already within the business and adjust where necessary and appropriate
· Ensure necessary information is communicated to all areas of the business
· Other ad-hoc business requirements
Experience
· Previous experience of SAP or other ERP business solution
· Computer proficient including competent use of Excel and Word
· Excellent communication skills in person, via email and over the telephone
· Minimum 2 years working in a goods-in/stock control environment
· The ability to work to tight deadlines
· Methodical with a keen attention to detail
· The ability to adapt to meet business demands when necessary and prioritise workload
