Due to increased business levels, my client is recruiting for a SSAS Administrator to join their team.  Reporting to the Directors the successful candidate will provide and maintain a professional, proactive and responsive administration support service to a selected number of clients and introducers.  You will undertake varied pensions and investment administration work for SSAS pension schemes from inception to closure.


Key duties and accountabilities:

  • Production of standard application forms
  • Processing of new SSAS application forms, including submission to HMRC
  • Registering schemes with the Pensions Regulator and the Information Commissioners Office
  • Completing a range of tasks including pension transfers; fund allocation calculations; investment processing; transfers out; benefit calculation; scheme wind ups etc
  • Preparation and issue of annual account statements
  • Maintaining in house client database
  • Providing telephone and email support to clients and introducers


Key skills and experience required:

  • Ability to deal professionally with clients and introducers
  • Ability to work flexibly and to suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Team player
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to professional development
  • Ability to problem solve
  • General interest in the Financial Services Industry required, with a desire to progress
  • Confident working with numbers, with the ability to spot errors in data
  • Strong PC skills
  • Understand the need for complete confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial


Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays.
