As Service Manager you will be responsible for running the whole of the Service Department, managing a team of around 15 including Field Service Engineers, Service Coordinators, Technical Lead and Engineers.


The department offers a 24/7 on call service, and the Service Manager will need to support engineers and oversee the changing demands of the departments due to breakdown issues.


The successful candidate will need a strong engineering background (HNC/HND in Engineering/Logistics/Service etc), alongside a number of years’ supervisory or management experience.


Key duties will include:

  • Managing the Service and Commissioning team
  • Act as point of escalation for issues relating to the scheduling of engineers
  • Managing the administrative support team
  • Overseeing preparation of quotes and service contracts
  • Overseeing compilation and maintenance of MI sheets, KPI data sheets, Service forecast sheets etc
  • Reviewing and analysing Service KPIs and targets
  • Accurate reporting of Service sales turnover
  • Reviewing service contracts and managing re-contract negotiations
  • Chairing customer reviews on service performance
  • Attending meetings both on and off site
