As Safety Advisor you will ensure all HSE standards are established and maintained in line with relevant legislation, industry guidance and good practice.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Actively monitoring the implementation, application and effectiveness of the HSE management system
- Promoting and developing a positive safety culture with an emphasis on continuous improvement
- Reviewing SHE legislation and implementing new requirements
- Monitoring and reporting on compliance with the COMAH legislation
- Providing operational advice and support in completion of site COMAH related actions
- Providing support with the monitoring of compliance with current environmental permits
- Providing support with the completion of annual environment reporting
- Assisting with and supporting the operation and development of the Process Safety Management Systems
- Assisting with incident investigations
- Reporting of safety statistics for management review
- Providing operational support to ensure the achievement of all SHE objectives
- Maintaining professional competence
Key skills and experience required:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety
- NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management
- Process Safety Management for Operations Training (PSMO)
- Associate/Technical member of IOSH (with progression towards Graduate Membership
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Hours of work: 37.5hrs, Monday – Friday
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
