Predominantly based on site in Stone, you may also be required to travel to client premises if required.  Key duties will include:

 

  • Responsibility for implementing, monitoring and develop company HSE operations
  • Acting as primary contact for employees and managers on safety related matters
  • Responsibility for application of company QHSE systems
  • Accountability for company CDM Principal Designer and Principal Contractor compliance
  • Providing resources and information to employees and management as required
  • Providing and directing company-wide training in QHSE related topics
  • Ensuring risk assessments are developed and undertaken
  • Conducting and managing QHSE audits, to measure level of compliance – ensuring findings are actioned
  • Managing the QHSE team, including the HSE Officer
  • Supporting client projects to ensues compliance with CDM regulations
  • Conducting site audits and inspections
  • Ensuring correct recoding and monitoring on all Accident and Incident reports
  • Responsibility for the coordination of the non-conformance process
  • Providing Quality content submissions for sales proposals and client pre-qualification questionnaires

 

Key skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in QHSE Management and QHSE Management standards (ISO9001, 14001, BS OHSAS18001/45001, Achilles UVDB Verify)
  • Formal qualifications in Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental
  • Experience with and knowledge of current CDM Regulations
  • Experience with and knowledge of Achilles accreditation and auditing
  • Auditor qualification including client site works inspections etc
  • Experience in performing audits and assessments of sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Broad knowledge of HSE legislation and Quality Standards practices and techniques
  • Experience of handling 3rd party and customer auditors
  • Experience in Design, Manufacture, Installation and service industry
  • Management of improvement programs
  • Experience of undertaking accident/incident investigations and production of associated reports

 

Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

 

Own transport required due to site location
