Procurement Specialist

This is a key role for my client and will require candidates with excellent communication and negotiation skills when dealing with internal teams and external vendors, distributors and shareholders.


Key duties will include:

  • Identifying preferred and secondary suppliers
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers
  • Liaising with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
  • Attending meetings with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favourable to my client
  • Assisting with the preparation and analysis of contracts
  • Developing and maintaining key performance metrics
  • Completing assigned Continuous Improvement initiatives and communications
  • Taking responsibility for the procurement strategy for material s in the R&D phase


Key skills and experience required:

  • Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as procurement specialist is essential
  • Open, confident team player
  • Experience in a continuous Improvement environment is essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and critical thinking skills
