We’re looking for experienced Powder Coaters to join the production team at a well-established engineering company in Sandbach, Cheshire.

The Company

A leading sub-contract engineering company supplying components of any sizes that utilize innovative technology due to continued investment.

They specialize in areas such as equipment for construction, automotive, nuclear, recycling, railway and many other general engineering industries. The company is located just 5 minutes from junction 17 of the M6 motorway in Cheshire. They provide accurately timed deliveries to any areas of the UK using their own fleet of vehicles.

They possess a highly skilled workforce, with the most up to date C.N.C. equipment including Lasers, pressbrakes, machining & Robotic Welding with capacity of up to 5 tonnes. Alongside their facility, they have a Pre-treatment & powder coating facility on a separate site located just 400 metres away thus giving a fully turn key solution for their customer’s needs. They use state of the art software for both Cad/Cam & business operating systems to support and control all their operations.

The Role

Responsible for applying the powder coat process to steel components.

Set up the flow of powder from guns to achieve the required thickness of paint

Visual inspections of coated parts

Ensure that correct powder is used and of the correct quality

Ensure clean down of all equipment and that there is no colour contamination ready for the next process.

The Offer

Pay Rate: £9.70 to £15.00 per hour (dependent upon skills and experience)

Hours: 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 Friday but could be asked to work a shift patterns (Shift Allowance will be payable on top of basic pay) 06:00 to 14:00 hours (Friday finish at 12:00 hours) and/or 14:00 to 22:00 hours (Friday 12:00 to 18:00 hours) dependent upon customer demands and business needs.

Overtime: Available but not guaranteed.

Contract Type: Permanent

There is an incentive for new starters. These can be achieved up to the first year of your employment.

End of first month – £100

End of three months & successful probationary – £400

End of 12 months – £500

Totalling – £1000 over the first year of employment
