Our client is looking to recruit for PIP (Personal Independence Payment) Assessors in various locations throughout the UK. (This role does not require you to make the final decision regards benefit eligibility)
Salary: £32,000 to £41,000 dependent on location
Benefits:
Working Days: Monday – Friday (No weekends or Bank Holidays)
Office hours: Between 8am and 6pm Full Time or Part Time hours
The Role:
Conducting impartial, thorough and consultative verbal assessments with people who are living with a long-term health condition and/ or disabilities and have put in a claim for PIP benefits.
It is your responsibility to gather information about the health conditions of the claimants and detail this information electronically. This information is then sent off for review and a decision regards eligibility is made by a different team.
Once accredited, following training you will work in a local assessment centre as well as in the community conducting home visits (home visits currently suspended during Covid pandemic)
Ensuring that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified and professional
Produce excellent written reports on the conditions presented to help the Department of Work and Pensions to make an informed decision around an individual’s entitlement to the benefit.
The requirements: You must be at least 2 years post-qualification and registration in the UK.
This includes:
NMC Registered Nurses
HCPC Registered Physiotherapists
HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
HCPC Registered Paramedics
Ideally you will have experience within the NHS and be familiar with the processes and paperwork of the NHS.
