I need to speak to time served Maintenance Technicians who are keen for a new challenge.

 

You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance ensuring the highest lever of equipment availability.  You will use continuous improvement techniques, looking to improve Mean Time Between Failure and Mean Time to Repair, maximising plant uptime.

 

Based on site, your key duties will be:

  • Attending and repairing plant breakdowns
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring RCPS techniques are used following breakdowns
  • Assisting with the identification of OEE losses/breakdowns
  • Updating PPM schedules where required
  • Using FMEA techniques to effectively maintain individual area of plant responsibility
  • Providing a constant focus on continuous improvement

 

Key experience and skills required:

  • Recognised qualification – City and Guilds, BTech, ONC, HNC or equivalent is essential
  • Experience of working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Competent welder and sound knowledge of machining techniques – grinding, milling, turning and drilling OR PLC Programming Skills
  • Understanding of Total Preventative Maintenance techniques – FMEA
  • Lean knowledge – Kanban, SMED
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude

 

Hours of work: 40 hours/week over a 3 shift pattern (between 6am and 10pm
