The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient process design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning of all processes and Utilities under site control.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Effective delegation of any maintenance issues to the appropriate team member
- Adherence to daily and weekly checks
- Development of PPM schedule
- Schedule of interview and external works, maximising planned downtime
- Development and management of KPIs, ensuring they are achieved
- Ensuring routine calibration and maintenance requirements are undertaken
- Ensuring all designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose
- Accountability for maintenance material spend – strategy to manage expenditure
- Management of system and equipment data storage, maintaining high levels of standards and accuracy
- Process management when new machinery, plant and equipment are introduced from specification, to managing suppliers to installation
- Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Management of contractors on site
- Conduct risk assessment of processes and tasks
- Management and coaching of maintenance team
- Lead by example – promoting high standards
- Hold responsibility for maintenance budget
- Development of strong relationships – internal and external
Key skills and experience required:
- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred (or equivalent)
- Extensive plant management experience is essential
- Team management experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Ability to manage cross functional team members
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 3.30pm with some flexibility re production requirements
