My client is looking for a Machine Operative to join the production team at their site based in Congleton.

As a Machine Operative, you will operate the Boilers and the ‘Plant’ to produce thermoplastic sheets from specific raw materials, and assist in operating the Waterjet Cutting Machines to cut the thermoplastic into our products.

Your Key Duties would include

Using a the weekly plan on their Odoo system.

Prepare mixes in order to meet the daily production plan.

Extrude mixes to specification as regards all properties – of particular importance is the finished thickness after extrusion.

Store extruded sheets in the relevant racking carefully to prevent damage.

Update stock levels on the Odoo system to ensure accurate production and stock data is available

Assist the Production Manager in the preparation of the finished weekly production plan, updating it as required, to ensure that material is available to meet customer orders.

Order skip collections and replacements.

Investigate issues and complete repairs on the Plant when required.

Complete general maintenance on the Plant.

Proactively fault find and organise the replacement of parts as required.

Ensure there is an efficient use and storage of recycled or waste materials.

Assist the Waterjet Cutting Operatives in running the Waterjet Cutting Machines on days when the Plant is not in operation.

Maintain, tidy, and demonstrate good housekeeping in outside yard areas in conjunction with Grassmats Ltd.

Shifts will vary within the hours of 6am-10pm.
