|Type of contract
Responsibility for the production of products to the required customer specification on production line(s).
Maximisation of production output.
Completion of order and blend changes.
Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
Working to work tickets and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
Promptly notify Team Supervisors and/or 2IC & shift mangers if the product is out of specification, or there are doubts around final/end use performance or product safety.
Ensure raw material supplies and material feed are maintained.
Removal and bailing of scrap product, and the correct procedure for removal of excess raw materials.
Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
Completion and compliance to all task cards and instructions relevant to operational area.
Ensure handover to next shift is completed.
Maintenance of housekeeping and hygiene standards.
Assists in direct training of other operators, machine hands, or apprentices subject to process experience under the direction of Team Supervisors, 2IC’s, Shift Managers.
Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, making recommendations for improvement through Health & Safety Representative as appropriate.
Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
