Job Description

A unique and challenging opportunity has arisen for a talented Key Account Manager to join a global client based in Hemel Hempstead.

The client holds leading market positions with well-known brands such as UniBond, Sellotape, Pritt Stick, Loctite and No More Nails. In this fast-moving sector, success depends on delivering innovation and delivering day in day out to the high expectations of the customers and consumers in a challenging and exciting environment where you can develop to your full potential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in account management and will be covering the London/South East region, calling on DIY Independents and key trade customers. This role will be primarily home based and throughout the region, however you will occasionally be required to travel to their HQ in Hemel Hempstead.

The key challenges will include:

  • Diverse range of DIY & Trade accounts
  • Full P&L responsibility for existing accounts and charged with opening up white space opportunities
  • Working closely with Category and Brand Marketing both at UK HO and Global HO to provide market-leading solutions to our customers
  • Ability to set your own agenda however supported by a large organization
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience of Trade sector preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in Account Management or Territory Sales
  • Demonstrable experience of driving top line growth and achieving sales targets
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills
  • Experience of managing national accounts at head office level is desirable
  • High levels of numeracy and IT skills
  • A dynamic approach, highly self-motivated and bringing energy and passion into a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
