As HSSE Coordinator, you will be an ambassador for a positive safety culture throughout the business.  You will coordinate and steward health, safety and security initiatives at UK locations.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting where required to ensure UK operational activities comply with current HSSE legislations
  • Ensuring all request relating to audits, records and reporting are complete in accordance with legislative, regulatory and Company requirements
  • Providing technical and administrative support to assist in meeting compliance objectives on time and in full
  • Promoting H&S awareness, including behavioural safety, Best Practice etc providing ongoing support
  • Maintaining current working knowledge, keeping up to date with new legislation
  • Deputise for UK HSSE Manager
  • Maintaining the UK safety data sheet and labelling system
  • Completing routine reporting requirements on a timely basis
  • Maintaining procedure, practices and controls

 

Key skills and experience required:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate and Occupational Health and Safety
  • HNC Chemistry or related subject or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Experience in Safety Management Systems, hazard analysis and risk assessment
  • Experience working in an operationally focused H&S role
  • Adequate knowledge of H&S principles and practice, and EHS legislation
  • Strong IT skills – MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self motivated with excellent organisation skills

 

Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Holidays – 25days + bank holidays
