Our Client in Shrewsbury, Shropshire is looking for Healthcare Assistants who can join them in providing care and support through the flexibility of the following shifts:

• Days 8am-2pm/2pm-8pm or 8am-8pm
• Nights 8pm-8am

There is also the opportunity to earn an additional £1-2 per hour at the weekends.

Our client is a family owned nationally recognised specialist care provider, set in a modern purpose built nursing home in Shropshire. The home provides nursing and dementia care and has been commended by the Gold Standard Framework for end of life care.

The home prides itself on the high standards of person centred care, welcoming atmosphere and being an active member within the community. They also provide short term rehabilitation care and accommodation which supports the diagnosis and treatment of some long term conditions.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will be required to;

• Communicate with patients, relatives and carers.
• Working under the direction of more senior healthcare professionals, take care of the day-to-day needs of patients by providing help with personal care, meals and mobility.
• To ensure as safe as possible the living environment for the patient, whilst respecting their choice and rights.

The job is a physical one and often requires manual handling, so a good level of fitness are also required.
