Maintain and develop safe systems of work
Develop maintenance planning, reporting and performance improvement
Schedule preventive maintenance activities, working with production to minimize downtime
Confer with management & production to discuss daily issues / projects.
Develop and maintain support contracts for equipment and services
Increasing plant efficiency and reducing costs.
Assign, direct and evaluate your teams work.
To transition the factory into a more modern environment with a forward way of thinking.
Oversee and manage a team of mechanical/electrical engineers with a variety of ages and skills.
Ensure all Engineering documentation is carried in line with established engineering procedures.
Reports on budget, schedule and quality
Keep all stakeholders informed of plans, progress and challenges, manage stakeholder expectations
· Set clear medium and long term goals.
Degree or HND in mechanical or project engineering
High degree of Health & Safety awareness
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Engineering Management
Strong engineering background, with proven experience of implementing change
Effective leadership, people management skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
Able to delegate duties throughout a team effectively
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to persuade, negotiate and influence
Flexible & self-motivated working attitude
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems
Knowledge of AutoCAD & MS projects
Able to provide immediate change and “hit the ground running”
· Salary range – £35,000 – £43,000
· Pension – Auto Enrolment
· Holidays – 25 days plus Bank Holidays
