Job Description

Working directly with the operations team, the key responsibility for the Customer Service and Operations Assistant is to ensure excellent customer service standards, handling all customer service and sales team enquiries effectively and professionally.


Key duties:

·         Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email

·         Resolve customer enquiries/complaints in a timely and accurate manner

·         Input sales orders and maintain sales order records

·         Offer support to the Sales Team

·         Undertake specific administrative tasks, e.g. quotations, sample requests, literature requests, travel arrangements

·         Maintain administrative and financial systems to ensure the smooth running of business operations

·         Prepare and distribute management reports

·         Assist with general administrative tasks

·         Undertake additional duties as appropriate to ensure that operational needs are met through flexible team working



Key skills and experience required:

·         Excellent PC skills – Microsoft Office

·         Advanced Excel skills

·         Strong communication skills – e-mail, telephone and face to face

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Ability to prioritise a busy work load

·         High level of numeracy and literacy

·         Experience using SAGE Line 50 would be an advantage

·         Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision would be an advantage

·         Experience working in a similar role is essential


Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Holidays: 21 days + bank holidays
