Our client is looking for a responsive and pro-active Business Support Administrator to join their small office. Working from their own initiative and being able to prioritise a busy and varied workload within a fast-paced national property maintenance company.

The role includes:

  • Answering telephone and email queries
  • General administration
  • Paying suppliers and contractors
  • Preparation of timesheet for payroll
  • Reconciliation of sales and purchase ledgers
  • Preparation of VAT returns for submission to accountant

Key skills and experience required:

  • Sage Payroll and Accounts (Desirable)
  • Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Microsoft)
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • General administration
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines related to onsite working (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) (Desirable)

The successful candidate will be working as part a small team so a flexible approach to work is essential. You must be able to keep calm under pressure and work efficiently.

Two weeks full time shadowing and training.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday – 9am to 5pm and Friday – 9am to 3pm (1 lunch break)

10 week probation period. Once the probation period is successfully completed the salary will be increased to £32,000 per annum in due course.
