We’re looking for CNC Operators to join the engineering team at a well-established, design and manufacturing company in Leek, Staffordshire.

Since 1956, our client has built a catalogue of innovative and accomplished products, along with exclusive engineering solutions for customers all over the world. They cover a wide and diverse sector range; that include industries such as; the shipbuilding, automotive, power generation and defence sectors.

With over 60 years of experience; supplying, developing and revising their equipment from the sales of new and refurbished equipment, building rental departments, through to extensive automated turnkey installations. They have developed an acclaimed knowledge and skill base that is second to none in the industry.

They have offices and manufacturing facilities in the UK and North America, as well as distributors throughout Europe and the Middle East.

The Role

These jobs have come about because of continued company growth through 2023.

The candidates will require experience operating and setting CNC machines.

Key attributes are:

• Work as part of a team or by themselves, setting and operating horizontal CNC machining centres.
• Be able to use Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls.
• Use precision measuring equipment.
• Be used to making and altering fixtures and jigs.
• Be forward thinking and have a positive approach to setting, fixturing, and machining and be able to make suggestions for improvements / decreasing machining time.
• Can follow instructions and work unsupervised.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

The Offer

This is a permanent position.

The salary on offer is a range between £12.00ph to £16.00ph (depending on experience)

The Shift pattern will be Monday to Friday.

Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00

Friday 07:30 – 16:00
